These barrier systems are ideal for keeping people safe on patios, decking, mezzanines, balconies and staircases, and provide a cost-effective, high-end finish to any application. Available with round or square posts and handrails, in a satin or mirror polished finish, they offer a timeless, low maintenance balustrade option.
When compared to frameless glass balustrades, post and rail systems require thinner glass and can be supplied in a wider range of styles and finishes; many people – especially those uncomfortable with heights – also prefer to see more structural elements in a balustrade as it provides them with a greater feeling of safety.
At BM Architectural, we stock all fittings to create an elegant, high performance, framed glass balustrade and even supply standard 1100mm-high pre-assembled posts, comprising base plate, click-on cover, stem (post) and glass clamps to simplify ordering and installation. Bespoke post types and heights are available on request.
Our EazyPost 0.74kN, EazyPost 1.5kN and EazySlide 0.74kN systems are perfect where compliance with Building Regulations and BS 6180 is required. This is typically where protection is needed from drops of 600mm or more in a residential setting, or just 380mm or more in commercial environments to account for the increased risk of unfamiliar surroundings.

We also offer stylish post and rail balustrade options constructed with wire ropes, tension bars or bar railings as an alternative to glass infills. Whilst these systems don’t offer the transparency of glass and being climbable are unsuitable for applications designed to protect young children, these slender metal fittings provide an industrial look that is perfect for some applications.
