Fire-rated aluminium railing for new affordable homes
Fenwick Place in Clapham comprises 27 new affordable homes across two residential blocks, forming part of a wider regeneration programme in the London Borough of Lambeth.
BM Architectural supplied its EazyRail aluminium railing system to the project, providing each dwelling with a robust, fire-safe and stylish safety barrier at the perimeter of its outdoor space.
The system was specified in a grey powder-coated finish to complement the colour of the doors and windows, creating a consistent contrast between the project’s metalwork and the light beige of the brick cladding across the entire façade.
The integral fascia plate of EazyRail W2 type, conceals the edge of the balcony slab, resulting in a neat, streamlined finish.
Significantly lighter than steel, the aluminium construction of EazyRail combines durability with ease of handling and installation for the contractor.
